Mandy's Triolet

A little girl named Emma sat,
Without first looking down, of course,
Upon her sister Madi's hat.
A little girl named Emma sat,
It made her sister's hat go flat,
But Madi didn't know the source.
A little girl named Emma sat,
Without first looking down, of course.

Mana's Challenge

Ok, Family,
Here is the challenge (like we did several years ago.) I'd like to ask you all to write another Triolet (I THINK that's what we did last time. You know my memory! Anyway, here it is:

It's an eight-line poem -- Make each line eight syllables(That's easy)
The first line is repeated as the 4th line AND the 7th line
The second line is repeated as the 8th (final) line.
Lines 3 and 5 must rhyme with the 1st line
Line 6 must rhyme with the 2nd line.

Everyone did so well last time, I can't wait to see what you can do!
Love and Blessings,
Mana

EXAMPLES:

1. Slumbering eyes drift off to dream
2. Transported to a world unseen
3. Where all is not as it may seem.(rhymes with dream)
4. Slumbering eyes drift off to dream.
5. Rivers run with marshmallow cream, rhymes with dream)
6. Fields of candy from which to glean.(rhymes with unseen)
7. Slumbering eyes drift off to dream,
8. Transported to a world unseen

This is little Madilynn's:

Triolet for Madilynn

1.I held a miracle today,
2. short moments after she was born.
3. God blessed us in this lovely way.(rhymes with today)
4. I held a miracle today.
5. Bright eyes looked up as if to say,(rhymes with today)
6. "Hello to all, this joyous morn!"(rhymes with born)
7. I held a miracle today,
8. short moments after she was born.

More to Say

Ashley and Chad, Thank you for letting us stay with you this week, for letting me use your truck, for the whole New Years Thing...you two are so awesome.

April, Thank you for coming back. And for offering to babysit. That was so very nice.

Mom, Thank you for helping through this entire year, especially the last month. And today. Especially for helping me get cleaned up at lunch, and for the blanket and nap. It was a busy day.

Dad, Thank you for coming to my rescue with the robbers! And for keeping in touch with everyone after. And for pulling out the heater today!

Marcy, Thank you for helping me clean myself and my son up after the episode today. I just can't imagine being able to do that for someone else, and I really admire you for it, and appreciate that you jumped right out of the booth without even considering just crouching down and looking away!!!

The Huston Family, Thank you for loading up an entire humongous party and bringing it to me. WOW

Tracy, Thank you for keeping on keeping on. It's SSDD, whatever man, and you are always there for it. :)

Mana and Papaw, Thank you for coming to church to help with choir, even though we weren't able to have it. That was very nice, and I hope it actually works out on Sunday!!! And thank you for the books for my kids. They have not put them down.

Love, Mandy
